What is a blog?

A blog is a discussion or informative site that consists of posts from a user or users. These posts are usually displayed in reverse chronological order. These blog posts are often based upon a certain subject such as make up and these posts can consist of writing, videos, audio or pictures. Blogs usually also allow followers to comment on posts and thus can be a place of discussion as well as information. Blogs also tend to be free to maintain and very rarely earn any revenue for the blogger.  An example of such a blog is http://www.pixiwoo.com/. This blog consists of posts based on a range of cosmetics from make up to perfume. A website on the other hand tend to be less personal than blogs and are maintained by a larger number of people or companies. Websites are used to promote and sell products as well as being used for other purposes such as education etc.

I'm making a blog as part of my university course. I'm Corey, 20 years old and I currently attend Swansea Metropolitan University studying Educational Studies living in Swansea Marina. I love gaming, music, football and socializing with friends. I follow Chelsea FC in football and have done since i was 3 years old. My music taste mainly consists of metal and the occasional bit of electronic music. I love comedies such as South Park, Two and a half men and Will Ferrel movies. I also have a ginger cat named Oli.
